Yes Master's

So many things can change so quickly. . .

Monica decided not to quit her job at the University of Phoenix. At least not for now. As we discussed things and pondered over them, Monica just didn't feel like it was the time to quit. Instead, she made the decision to move forward with getting her Master's degree. Most of you know this is a big goal of hers. Since the UofP will pay for her to go to school, it's a no brainer. So Monica is back to school starting most likely April 15th! Yay! She has decided to get an MBA in Human Resources. Yay for humans with resources!

As for me, work has been a little slow but I'm starting with another school this week and hopefully I'll have more in the upcoming month. I'm really enjoying being in the education arena. It's been so interesting to learn about the different challenges that educators and students face. I love that what I'm doing is making things better for both. I have loved teaching kids about getting into college and financial aid and stuff like that. It's cool to see kids light up and say things like, "wow! I didn't realize that I can really go to college!" It's pretty awesome!

Linc is a lot of fun, as always. He's teething again and it looks like one of his teeth is coming in a bit crooked so I guess he's got Monica's awesome teeth, which means Linc will probably get to have awesome braces, awesome head gear, awesome teeth pulled, awesome mouth guard, awesome retainer, awesome etc. So if any of you want to contribute to Linc's braces fund, let me know!

The past month here has been so pleasant! 70s to 80s every day and we've loved it!

Later!

Welcome to our new blog

I decided to get everything switched from my msn to gmail account so that's why I changed the blog. Yay.

So it's March 19th, Linc is a year old now. He's been a little bit sick with an ear infection the past couple of weeks but doing better now.

Monica is going to quit her job and start working with her mom as her administrative assistant/office manager. Her mom is starting her own business, a consulting firm. It's something she's been wanting to do forever and finally decided to get down and do it. We've always talked about me joining with her and doing some of the consulting as well. We'll see where that goes but for now, it will be a great improvement for Monica who's had to deal with unbelievable micromanagement at the University of Phoenix. If you know her well, you know Monica is a very independent person and doesn't need people checking up on her every 5 seconds to make sure she's doing her work. That's what's going on at her current job and it's just not worth the long commute and time it takes. So she'll be able to work from home now and as the business grows, it should be a good thing for everyone.

Things are going great for my job. I'm loving everything about it. Working with high school kids has been a blast. I relate well with them and have a good time working with school staff.

I'm planning on becoming more religious with this blog now.

Here are a few pics and a video from Lincoln's first bday party.
