Mo, Lincoln's fish of 2.3 years passed away this week. It happened on Tuesday night. Shawn and I watched as he struggled to breath and couldn't swim to the top to get his food. We decided it would be good for Lincoln to see him and say good bye in the morning. When Lincoln and I came downstairs for breakfast on Wednesday morning I told him Mo passed away. Lincoln said "Oh, that's sad". I told him that we were going to have to flush him and Lincoln asked if he could do it (with a big grin on his face). So Lincoln fished Mo out of the his bowl and dropped him in the toilet. He stood there and looked at him for a second then he said "Good-bye Mo" and flushed him away. Lincoln wants us to get another fish, guess he is not one for attachment.

Quest for the Best - Girls Camp 2011
I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to go to Girls Camp last week, well "Girls Resort". Our stake goes up to Camp Shadow Pines every year, so our girls get to sleep in cabins and take showers every day and have a professional staff provide them with 3 delicious meals for 4 days. This year's theme was Quest for the Best with a medieval theme. Not only was it a lot of fun, but the girls and the leaders where able to strengthen their testimonies of the gospel and their friendships with each other. The Youth theme for this year is "We Believe" based on the 13th Article of Faith.
I love the words to this years camp song:
Our mighty God has given us so much good to find
There's just no room for darkness in our lives.
We believe in being honest
We believe in being true,
Chaste and benevolent,
Doing good to all men.
We believe all things,
We hope all things,
We seek the virtuous
All that is praiseworthy.
We're standing sure
We believe.
There's just no room for darkness in our lives.
We believe in being honest
We believe in being true,
Chaste and benevolent,
Doing good to all men.
We believe all things,
We hope all things,
We seek the virtuous
All that is praiseworthy.
We're standing sure
We believe.

The Initiation of Aunt Monica
Monica's sister Karla and her husband Johnny recently welcomed their new baby boy Dylan. Yay! As part of her official initiation as an aunt, Monica flew up to Washington to spend a few days, along with her mom and brother John.
There and back again . . . in 26 hours
We made an INSANELY short trip to Utah on Memorial Day weekend to attend our brand new nephew and cousin Jace's baby blessing. Seriously, we left on Saturday morning and left to come home at 1:30am on Monday. WOW! It was awesome to be with these guys, even for just a short time. . .
This is pretty much how we all felt at the end of the trip! But TOTALLY worth it!
