To celebrate our favorite husband and daddy's 32nd, we decided to surprise him with a few of his favorite things. . .
After enjoying a bacon and egg breakfast, we drove out to Tortilla Flats, an old west outpost in the desert mountains about 50 minutes from our house. There's a stream that goes through the place that you can hike along and in some cases, literally trailblaze along.
Naturally, the boys busied themselves with important boy things, like trying to catch lizards and throwing big rocks into the water.
After exhausting ourselves and leaving considerably less rocks on the shoreline, we hiked back to the outpost and enjoyed a good ol' burger at the 100+ year old Superstition Saloon. This place is pretty unique in that when you go there, you write your name and messages on a dollar bill and they put it up on the wall inside. We were told there is over $100,000 of dollar bills on those walls, ceilings, window ledges, etc. Crazy! Lincoln felt compelled to try and rip a few off the wall.
That night, we celebrated in the classiest way we know possible: at the Red Robin.
Happy Birthday to Shawn!
