This road trip up was not our best. In 6 hours we had only gone 200 miles and had made 3 or 4 stops, we decided to drive all night and get it over with.
It took us a total of 15 hours in the car to make it to the Jensen's.

We were able to spend LOTS of quality time swimming and going to the park with Grandma and Grandpa, Aunt Jen and Jace and Kara,Tyler and Makena.
June in a nutshell
-35th Surprise Party Chantal wanted to throw a party for Shawn with some of our closest friends - Michael & Melanie Baird, Jimmy & Becky Bragg, Spencer & Stephanie Campbell, Laurie & Greg Lorenzon, Cat & Ben Poulsen, Sara & Eric Smith and all of their kids. It was so much fun to see our kids playing together and hopefully becoming friends. Jen & Bruce and Kara and Tyler were there too with Jace and Makena. It was a great way to start the summer!
-Shawn & I went to Boston/NYC for a week. Stan and Chantal watched the kids so we could celebrate our 10 year anniversary and our first vacation with just the two of us in 5 years. We walked all over downtown Boston. We took the Freedom Trail tour - our guide was very passionate about American history and told us stories that we had never heard before about Paul Revere and John Hancock and made me love American history even more than I already do. Our favorite part of Boston besides all the incredible history was the North End, famous for Italian food and Mike's Pastry shop. Which we visited a couple of times for fresh/amazing cannoli. We stopped in Plymouth on our way to NYC and explored the city where the Mayflower landed and had some just okay calmari.
NYC was hot and humid. The best part of the trip was watching Shawn be so excited about seeing all of the famous sites. While NYC is an amazing city, it is a bit of sensory overload for me, I would go back to Boston in a heartbeat.
-Camping at Timpooneke - Shawn's family camps in American Fork Canyon every year. The boys each got to spend the night with Grandpa Jensen. Adria went on her first camping trip and loved the outdoors and thanks to Advil PM I too was able to sleep in the tent a couple of nights. We celebrated Oliver's 3rd birthday in the canyon with yummy dutch oven dinner, Oreo cake, presents and a bubble machine.
-Oliver's 3rd birthday and birthday party. Oliver had a wonderful Ninja Turtle themed birthday this year with family and friends. See his blog for pictures and highlights. June was unbelievably busy but lots of fun!
July in a nutshell coming soon...
