Arizona isn't a dead wasteland!

We stretched our hiking legs again this weekend and hiked the Wind Cave trail in Usery Park. It's about 15 minutes directly north of our house. Lincoln was quite certain he didn't need any help walking up the trail and he did an awesome job too. The whole trail is a little over 3 miles and Lincoln walked and clambered over rocks for about a 1/4 mile of that all together. Which is pretty good if you consider the trail was pretty rocky AND his legs are only about a foot tall each.

We hiked with John and his friends Adam, Eryn, and Haleigh and had a really great time. The hike ends in a little cave, which is really more of an area where the wind has carved the rock out. That's why it's called Wind Cave.

After a little while, John, Adam, Haleigh and I trailblazed to the summit of the mountain where you get a 360 degree view of . . . Arizona. Pretty awesome! We lost the trail on the way down but lucky for us the old boy scout instincts kicked in and we found our way down without incident.

Oh. . .Monica and Lincoln made muffins this morning.

Lincoln has those cheeks that you just want to kiss! He is growing up fast. What a little stud.
