My three things. . .

I went on a business trip to Yuma this past week and actually saw 3 really interesting things while I was out there.

The first thing was a mountain of cows. Literally! Near Wellton, AZ is a large cattle farm situated on the north side of I-8. It stinks really, really bad there. I'm talking it smells the way it would if you stuck your nose right in the pile of muddy manure directly beneath a recently relieved cow. Yeah, it's like that. ANYWAY, as I looked over at the farm, I saw what must be a pile of dirt in the middle of the field but it was completely covered in cows so it was a mountain of cows. It doesn't sound nearly as cool now that I've read it. And I don't even have a picture for you. Guess I'll have to draw one. Here it is:

The second thing I saw was a UFO. Yes, I actually saw a UFO. More accurately, it was a USFO, an Unidentified Stationary Flying Object. I looked in the sky and saw this small white rectangle that just sat there in the air and didn't do anything. It didn't seem to be hooked to anything. It didn't move at all. One thing I'm sure of, it wasn't an airplane. But it might have been a burrito. You look!

Finally, the third thing I saw was a bunch of old Hohokam indian petroglyphs. I was on my way home and saw this sign that said Painted Rock Petroglyphs. So I thought, "Hey, why not?!" and took the exit. I thought it would be just off the freeway but I ended up driving for almost 20 minutes before I got there. It was pretty cool. It's just a little hill covered in rocks where indians painted it all up with drawings and markings, Kind of like ancient indian graffiti.

If you're one of those people who's tired of hearing me say I went to Hawaii again you can close the blog now rather than continuing. . .

Still here? Ok, lucky you. On my last trip, I took a few pics from the Pali Highway overlook. Really nice!

And a few pics from my hotel room where, for the first time in all my trips to HI, I was in a room where I could actually see the ocean.
